Texas women are facing huge health obstacles. Fifty-five percent of Texas women report at least one barrier to accessing reproductive healthcare services, including life-saving cancer screenings or family planning services. In the face of this, Planned Parenthood is working to maintain, restore, or expand access to high quality, affordable health care in Texas. We work to create healthier communities through healthcare, education, and advocacy.

About our speaker:

Grace Miller is the Community Outreach Specialist for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas in Austin. An eighth-generation Texan, she graduated from Brown University with a concentration in sociology and moved back to her home state as soon as she could. Ms. Miller is passionate about anti-sexual violence work, particularly on college campuses and online. This led her to co-found Uplift, a nonprofit that tackles sexual violence in online communities. When not fighting for reproductive justice and safer online spaces, Grace enjoys reading and playing the banjo.
