Uwe Blab played basketball in the 1984 Olympic Games as an amateur and returned as a professional in 1992. The length of the shorts wasn’t all that changed in that span of time. Mr. Blab will talk about the experience and excitement of playing in the Olympics, along with how things evolved in the eight years between his Olympic appearances.
About our speaker:
Uwe Blab played basketball at Indiana University (IU) from 1981 to 1985. He was the 17th overall draft pick of the Dallas Mavericks in 1985. Mr. Blab played five seasons in the National Basketball Association for the Mavs, Golden State Warriors, and San Antonio Spurs. After that, he played several seasons in Europe before retiring from basketball in 1993. Mr. Blab graduated Magna Cum Laude from IU with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. Today, he lives in Wimberley and develops custom software solutions for Calavista Software based in Austin.
