Most Austinites can agree the city has a mobility problem. How to fix the problem? Some say the mobility bond we’ll vote on in November is the solution. Not so, say Roger Falk and Mike Levy. They contend the city’s bond propopsal is full of “falsehoods, shortfalls, and pitfalls.” They will share specifics with the goal “to cultivate an informed voter, not one misled with false promises, half truths and unknowns.”
About our speakers:
Roger Falk has lived in Austin for 46 years. His career revolved around Austin’s information technology community as part of IBM’s technical field operations and, later, as founder and president of two firms—Austin Mag Media Inc. and TechniServ Inc. Today, Mr. Falks is a consultant for alternative fuel systems, recycling, and environmental regulatory compliance. He is also an analyst for the Travis County Taxpayers Union.

He is also well known for service to a long list of community and government organizations, committees, and causes. Currently he is vice chair of the EMS & Fire committee, part of the city’s Public Safety Commission. He serves on the Board of Visitors for the
MD Anderson Cancer Center and the McDonald Observatory. Mr. Levy is a trustee of The Meyer Levy Charitable Foundation. Established by this late uncle, the foundation is devoted to improving the lives of many members of our community including police officers, soldiers, natural disaster victims, underserved children, battered women, children with disabilities, and breast cancer patients.
