Can determination and entrepreneurship be taught?
Some say not. Sarah Hernholm disagrees. In fact, she's built an entire company focused on getting high school teens on the entrepreneur track. Find out what she sees that others don't—and why it matters.
About our speaker
Based in San Diego with locations in St. Louis, Austin, and New York City, WIT is the only 6-unit college credit social entrepreneur and leadership program in the country.
WIT founder, Sarah Hernholm, painted three words—Whatever It Takes—on a banner and hung it in her classroom. It became the motto of that class and all the classes she taught during her teaching career.
In 2009, Sarah left teaching and focused on creating a platform where youth could get their ideas heard and serve in leadership roles within their community. This platform became WIT.
"I created WIT because I believe that you're never too young to make a big difference," says Sarah. "There's nothing I love more than seeing a teen realize that they can start creating the life and business they want....now!"
