Chris Plonsky, University of Texas at Austin Women's Athletic Director, speaks on Navigating Intercollegiate Athletic Challenges.
About our speaker: Chris Plonsky has been Women’s Athletic Director at The University of Texas at Austin since 2001 and is in her 28th year at The University of Texas. Additionally, she supervises men’s and women’s athletics revenue generation in areas including sponsorships, TV/radio, brand development and trademark licensing.
Under her leadership, Texas Women’s Athletics have won 3 National Championship titles: Volleyball in 2012, Track and Field (indoor) in 2006 and Track and Field (outdoor) in 2005. Texas Women’s Athletics have also won 54 conference championships under her tenure.
Ms. Plonsky volunteers in numerous organizations, including board member for USA basketball and emeritus board member of the National Football Foundation/college Football Hall of Fame. She is also president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and represents the Big 12 Conference on the LEAD1 board.
