The Television Broadcasting Industry – Present day and future challenges and opportunities

Today’s media ecosystem is undergoing dynamic changes -- video content viewership is in flux proven by the trends of non-linear viewing behavior, mobile video consumption, and the rapid rise of cord cutting coupled with the increased penetration of Over The Top (OTT) players such as YouTube TV, Hulu, DIRECTV NOW, etc.

Eric Lassberg, President and General Manager of KXAN, will discuss how KXAN is addressing these industry trends and how we see our place in this rapidly changing media ecosystem. How will local broadcast TV stay relevant and continue to serve their local community and what is the future of TV?
