Planning the Future for Transportation in Central Texas

Fed up with traffic in Central Texas? You're not alone.

The Austin metro area is rapidly growing -- the 9th fastest among metro areas in the U.S.! -- and the new residents are adding to traffic.

How will Central Texas handle the influx of residents? What transportation plans are in the works? Join us Wednesday, August 2 to hear from the Assistant Director of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO).

About our speaker

Phillip Tindall is the Assistant Director of CAMPO. CAMPO is a 20-member board of elected officials from Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties. Tindall works with Executive Director Ashby Johnson, who is responsible for directing the technical analyses of regional transportation planning issues for the CAMPO board, and he has been part of setting the vision, goals and priorities for state and federal transportation funding.

Previously, Tindall served as a contract compliance manager for the City of Austin and Executive Director of the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization.
