What Will The Texas of the Future Look Like?
Although Texas is growing rapidly and substantially, growth in Texas is not evenly distributed across its 254 counties and not evenly distributed among its race/ethnicity groups. All the while, Texas is aging. The source and distribution of population growth in the state has varying implications for infrastructure and demands of goods and services in Texas along with potential challenges for maintaining inclusive and equitable economic growth in the state.
