Bring Your Brain to Work

Want to jump start your career? According to Art Markman, you should consider learning more about cognitive science if you'd like to improve your work performance. In his talk, he'll cover the four elements he has identified as being critical to success: learning, being productive, communicating, and leading.

About Our Speaker:

Art Markman, PhD, is the Annabel Irion Worsham Centennial Professor of Psychology, HDO, and Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin and Executive Director of the IC2 Institute. He has written over 150 scholarly papers on topics including reasoning, decision making, and motivation. Art brings insights from cognitive science to a broader audience through his blogs at Psychology Today and Fast Company as well as his radio show/podcast Two Guys on Your Head produced by KUT. He is the author of several books including Smart Thinking, Smart Change, Brain Briefs, and his latest book Bring Your Brain to Work. When Art isn't working or spending time with his family, he can be found playing saxophone in the ska band Phineas
