Making Life Sweeter: Integrating Identities

In 2015, Sabola left a very lucrative career in finance to open Gelateria Gemelli. After 12 years in finance he felt as though his professional life was too disconnected from his personal life. Gemelli was Sabolas way of becoming a fully integrated person.

About Our Speaker:

In 2014, Andrew Sabola traveled to Bologna, Italy, to take a huge first step in fulfilling a dream of owning his own gelateria as a way to contribute to Austin’s dining and nightlife scene. In 2015, after quitting a high-paying, low-passion job in finance, Andrew opened Gelateria Gemelli, which has quickly become one of the best rated and most beloved after-dinner spots in East Austin.

Modeled after the type of places he frequented near his former home in Little Italy, Boston, Andrew sought to create an atmosphere of elegance and simplicity with the focus on customers’ conversation and delight.
