Easy Prey: Protecting Seniors from Scams

Why does it seem like seniors are so gullible? Because they are. Normal brain changes make us more vulnerable to scams as we age. This presentation will explain how we become more vulnerable and provide strategies for protecting ourselves from scams.

About our speaker:

Paula is an honors graduate of Trinity University, San Antonio and South Texas College of Law, Houston. She served as briefing attorney to Texas Supreme Court Justice James P. Wallace in 1986-87. For 15 years, she was a Managing Attorney at Texas Legal Services Center where she managed a variety of legal aid projects including a program that assisted identity theft victims with the recovery process. She is a frequent speaker and writer on identity theft.

We are currently meeting via Zoom, if we continue, please note the following:

Our Zoom Meeting fees to cover our admin costs during this time are $5 for members and $10 for visitors.

When you register, you will be emailed the Zoom login info (which is different for each meeting) and can use your computer, tablet or phone to access.

You are able to call in without video, but the best way to use Zoom, is to have your camera on and show your face. It will give you the greatest sense of connection and you'll have the best experience with it this way.
