Foresight in 2020: How a Year of Chaos is Impacting Generation Z
After the coronavirus epidemic broke out earlier this year, former presidential candidate Andrew Yang suggested that we’re experiencing 10 years of change in 10 weeks. 2020 is a year of chaos, and we’re witnessing a new generational zeitgeist rise to public attention. From an insidious virus to polarizing politics to apocalyptic wildfires, our children are losing their trust in their predecessors and are finding their unique voice to enable change.
About our speaker:
Anne is a professional futurist and thought leader recognized for her decade-long work on generational change. When interest mostly revolved around Millennials, Anne sensed that the very young post-millennials would bring their own impact on the future. In 2011 she started the first blog and consulting firm dedicated to understand the future through the lens of Generation Z. Since the inception of her firm After the Millennials, Anne has been hired on consulting projects and as a Keynote Speaker for a number of events in several countries and on consulting projects for large clients.
Anne enjoys helping her clients derive bold images of the future based on asking the right questions, examining our assumptions and applying new insights. Straddling the disciplines of foresight and data analytics, she ensures that her insights are founded on well-documented, data-intensive research and cutting-edge methods, including custom AI. Using a unique, rigorous methodology and cross-disciplinary approach, Anne captures early signals while they are still barely detectible. Anne is one of those futurists who won’t settle for hyped headlines or old tropes. Not afraid of dispelling myths and challenging common assumptions, expect nothing less than a transformative experience that allows the audience to attain new perspectives based on fresh insights and concepts.
Anne has been hired to conduct Keynote Speeches in several countries on three different continents. She has been featured in a number of leading media outlets around the world, and submitted commentaries in mainstream newspapers as well as articles to scientific journals.
