Civic Engagement - Where are we?

Each of us are community trustees working to make this place we call home the best it can be. We are living in a time that has much more information, much more diversity of thought and a pace of change that continues to accelerate. Join us for a conversation as we explore civic engagement research and trends driving participation.

About our speaker:

Christopher Kennedy is a community engager focusing on building the interpersonal and communication skills that forge successful working relationships with clients, consumers, boards, public-private partnerships and community leaders. He is the CEO of Leadership Austin and is a small business owner. Before starting his businesses and working at Leadership Austin, he had a 22-year career at the Lower Colorado River Authority responsible for managing all administrative functions that supported the public utility needs in the 58 county Central Texas service area. He serves as Board Chair for Association of Leadership Programs nationwide and site on the advisory councils for the Austin Young Chamber, Young Women’s Alliance of Austin and the Junior League of Austin, a member of Austin Area Research Organization (AARO) and is an avid, some call rabid, Texas Longhorn fan.
