The Other Ones Foundation is on a mission to welcome Austin's homeless neighbors into engaged community through shelter, opportunity, and support.By offering low barrier work, access to dignified shelter, and wrap around compassionate care,TOOF is spearheading innovative approaches to the housing crisis that's crippling our communities. Their newest endeavor is creating a transformational shelter complex in east Austin with 200 dignified, durable, and transition-oriented shelters with access to supportive services and care.
About our speaker:
Jared Slack has been Director of Development for The Other Ones Foundation since 2020. For more than 7 years prior he was Pastor for Mission and Development at First Baptist Church of Austin, where he was engaged in both macro and micro community development work with a congregation around local issues of poverty and resource inequity.
