Data privacy is a quickly evolving and loosely regulated field. Lizzie will share her insights on where your data goes when apps capture your phone's location, how monopolizing ticket sales isn't Ticketmaster's only game, and why some officials are panicking about TikTok.
About our speaker:
Lizzie Karr is a Senior Engineer at Bazze & Company, a bootstrapped startup that serves as a data marketplace for government, financial, and non profit customers.
Before entering the tech world six years ago, Lizzie directed a dance company, produced 3 music albums, and spent six months singing in a pop band in China. She’s found a common thread in writing (now coding), creative problem solving, and building businesses from the ground up.
In her current role, Lizzie works with a data science team to generate revenue estimates for semiconductor companies based on foot traffic data at key production facilities. In her spare time, she continues to write and record music (check out Lizzie Karr on all music streaming platforms).
