That poses a challenge for a news producer working to cover Texas politics. And by "a news producer," I mean me. About our speaker:
I’ve been covering news for KXAN in Austin since 1995. I work behind the scenes as a news producer. If you see me on television, something’s gone terribly wrong. My focus these days is on political coverage, working with the Nexstar Media statewide bureau team. I also produce State of Texas, a Sunday morning program focused on Texas politics which airs on Nexstar stations across Texas. I earned four Lone Star Emmy awards for my work on that program. My Mom still doesn’t really know what I do.
