About our speaker:
Eric Lassberg was born and raised in Dallas, eventually coming to Austin to become a 2nd generation Longhorn with a degree in Advertising. He began his career in Dallas at KXAS-NBC as an Account Executive and worked in Atlanta and Wichita, before returning to Austin in 2006 to become General Manager for KXAN, KNVA and KBVO.
At the time, KXAN was a distant 3rd place station trailing by 11-12 revenue share points behind the leader KVUE. By 2015, KXAN became the #1 news station in the market in all key newscast time periods, and In 2016, for the first time ever, KXAN became the #1 station in revenue market share.
Eric has served on the boards of Family Elder Care, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, and the Texas Association of Broadcasters, and is a member of the Longhorn Foundation Advisory Council. He's married to Ashley Lassberg, they have one daughter and one son, Bella and Sawyer, and they all love Austin!
