About our speaker:

Sergeant Deon Cockrell is a graduate of the University of Texas and has been with the Texas Department of Public Safety for 29 years. He is currently station in Austin as the Media & Communications and Safety Education Sergeant for Travis County and nine surrounding counties. When he is not responding to media interviews and requests, Sgt Cockrell conducted safety education programs to businesses, schools and citizens thought central Texas. The best part about is job is meeting and talking to people throughout Texas.
