Plastic Reduction Project: What We Do
We’ll discuss Plastic Reduction Project’s initiatives in the community using its programs as a jumping off point to explore challenges and opportunities in switching from single-use to Reuse. Remember those reusable lunch trays that you had when you were in school? Times have sure changed in our cafeterias, and not for the better. We’ll also explore a special opportunity for improved sustainability at independent senior living facilities.
About our speaker:
Sean Winn spent most of his career in Asia in the finance industry with Citibank and Standard Chartered Bank. He’s held a variety of roles, the longest of which was Chief Operating Officer of a distressed investments fund.
Since leaving banking, he’s gone back to school and published in literary journals, but was gradually pulled towards giving back to society. Most of his time is now spent on environmental projects as the Co-Founder of the Plastic Reduction Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. He has a particular interest in circular food systems.
