David Jabour, Twin Liquors
About the program and speaker:
David Jabour has been involved in the beverage alcohol industry all of his life. His father Theodore established a liquor store in downtown Austin shortly after the repeal of Prohibition.
Following college graduation, after 15 exciting and rewarding years as a banker, David devoted his attention to Twin Liquors. As President of Twin Liquors, David and his sister Margaret, have grown Twin Liquors from one location to 100 plus locations across Texas. Twin Liquors has been recognized as a leader in the industry, receiving the industry’s most coveted award as Shanken Communications’ Market Watch United States Retailer of the Year, and as Beverage Dynamics Retailer of the Year. Market Watch has subsequently honored Twin Liquors with alumni awards for Best Marketing, and for Outstanding Community Service.
David serves as board member and Past President of the American Beverage Licensees (ABL), the national trade association representing both off-premises and on-premises retailers, immediate past President and executive board member of the Wine & Spirits Guild of America, executive board member of the Texas Package Stores Association, emeritus board member of the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas, member of the International Society of the Knights of the Vine, Vice Chair of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, and advisory member of the University of Texas McCombs School of Business Supply Chain Management Center. David also serves on various community boards such as Austin Opera, Austin Symphony Knights of the Symphony, Caritas of Austin, and Parish Council Member of St Elias Orthodox Church.
David holds his BBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He resides in Austin with his wife Sylvia. David and Sylvia have three young adults with budding business careers.
