Dr. Mayerland Harris, Head of Human Resources - Store Operations, H-E-B
About the program:
Turning JOB Into JOY: The Science of Purpose, Alignment, and Thriving Workplaces
What if joy at work wasn’t accidental, but intentional?
In this dynamic session, Dr. Mayerland Harris reveals how to transform everyday work into a source of purpose, fulfillment, and joy. Based on her doctoral research, Dr. Harris shares the four essential conditions that turn jobs into joyful experiences—values alignment, personality freedom, supportive culture, and meaningful growth. Dr. Harris connects these findings to her signature framework, “Turning your JOB into JOY,” giving leaders practical strategies to build environments where people thrive.
“Joy at work is not a luxury. It’s the natural outcome of a workplace that honors people’s values, celebrates their uniqueness, supports their growth, and reinforces their purpose. When people find alignment, authenticity, support, and opportunity, work stops being a job and becomes a source of joy.” ~ Dr. Mayerland Harris
