About the Program:

The Business of Problem-Solving: What It Takes to Build Texas in a Divided Time

Texas is one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic economies in the country — but with growth comes complex challenges that require more than partisan debate to solve. At the Metropolitan Breakfast Club on April 1, Builders Movement Executive Director Stacy Blakeley will share how Builders is working to strengthen a culture of problem-solving in the Lone Star State by bringing citizens across political lines together to identify common ground solutions on issues that matter most to Texans. From citizen-led policy proposals to efforts that hold lawmakers accountable to collaboration over division, Blakeley will explore how Texans — including business and community leaders — can help build a future where results, not rhetoric, move our state forward.

Stacy Blakeley is the President of Builders Movement, a nonpartisan, nonprofit focused on moving beyond an us-versus-them mindset to solve problems. Stacy is currently also the President of the newly formed independent organization, Builders Bloc. Based in Dallas, she oversees Builders' work both nationally and in Texas. With more than two decades of experience across the government and nonprofit sectors, Blakely previously served as the CEO of The Policy Circle & President of Katy Sky Group.
