Writer and Filmmaker Turk Pipkin discusses his work bridging gaps in education at home and abroad. He will also discuss his latest project -- the Book of the every-other Month Club -- which is six new books in a subscription series that’s funding new school libraries in Kenya.

About our speaker

Writer and filmmaker Turk Pipkin is the co-founder of the global education nonprofit The Nobelity Project (www.nobelity.org) and the director of three feature documentaries about global issue. As an actor, Turk has appeared in Waiting for Guffman, The Alamo, Friday Night Lights and in recurring role's in two HBO series, The Sopranos and The Leftovers. He is also the author of ten books including the NY Times bestseller, THE TAO OF WILLIE, coauthored with Willie Nelson. His latest project, Turk Pipkin’s Book of the every other Month Club - is a subscription series of six new books written by Turk. 

Three new novels and three more fun books in a year - Turk has been busy.
